Offered weekly for both spring and fall migration. Experience the science of songbird banding at the only banding station on Nantucket! Get the chance to learn and see the birds up close.

You can volunteer and participate in the Nantucket Christmas Bird Count, an island tradition for 70+ years.

The Birdability Map is a crowdsourced map that provides a detailed description on the accessibility features of birding locations all over the world. The purpose of the map is to allow people with disabilities and other health concerns access to this information ahead of time, to help them decide if a location is one they would like to visit.
You can find detailed information on what features to expect when visiting LLNF, like benches, a mowed grass trail surface, and no gates.

Birdability is a nonprofit that works to improve the physical accessibility of birding locations, empower a welcoming and inclusive birding community, and introduce people with access challenges to birding.
We have an array of bird feeders at the Linda Loring Nature Foundation that are open to the public to come and view. They are located at the side of our back porch behind our office. We have tables to sit at and enjoy the birds that come to feed!
The yellow house feeder is equipped with a camera that will automatically capture photos of the birds that visit. Enjoy some of the photos our Bird Buddy has captured, below!
